Every day seemed to be the same. The birds sang and the wind blew and everything was juts the same.yea just the same. But no not at all today. At least not for Millie.it was her first date with Kale today.she still couldn't wrap her head around the fact that she was going out with a gorgeous man like Kale.He was sweet, funny, and he seemed like the complete opposite of what she's heard around everywhere. But today she was going to really find out for herself. And hey maybe Kale won't be the guy she's heard about. But if she was going to have a good time today she was going to look at the kind of guy he is and not the kind of guy everyone thinks he is.But even if he was, Millie was smart enough to say no to anything she never would do.Plus, she is use to the kind of guys that just want something and then throw it away. And Millie would never do that, let alone let a creep do that to her.No matter how cute he may be.Today is just going to be a clean cut date and maybe will lead to a relationship. At least if that is what he wants. And if he didn't, she isn't one of those girls that will cling to his side, or even keep bugging him.A relationship with only work if they both want one.And if one doesn't then it's not worth the time of someone else who isn't convinced that they're losing a really amazing person.
Millie looked in her closet. She was looking for something that would catch his eyes and maybe even something that was minimum sexy.In a way.But she had to keep it simple and something that was actually herself. But in the world Millie lives in you have to be someone else to actually have someone take a second look.Pushing that thought out of her head, she took out a tank top with a small mini white jacket and a cute little skirt to go with it.that seemed more like Millie and well Millie liked that. And hopefully Kale will too.At least for now though she was going to do her hair and forget about stressing on what he'll think.Even if she's going to be nervous she still has to make sure to be herself.it's not like it's hard or anything it just is when you like someone and your going on a date to try and have them like you.But even if she doesn't get him, she is going to be beautiful and be just Millie. No matter what she shouldn't lose site of that.No matter if she's scared, nervous, or even terrified that she will make a foul of herself.Millie walked down the stairs quitely and and pushing back her straight hair with flipped out ends and her bangs that she grew out a little to the side. She even thought she was pretty. That wasn't something that she normally felt. But it was a pretty great feeling.Even if he may not thing so.
Once Millie finally walked down the stairs she looked over to her golden brown couches and saw, well who else, her mother passed out on the couch. But she decided that no one, especually her mother, wasn't going to ruin this day for her.So she walked by quickly and grabbed her purse and took out her car keys. She had to take her mother's keys, just to make sure she didn't drive away today. And most likely go get more boos.It was a rutean thing for her mother. And even if Millie understood why she drank.it still didn;t excuse her mother's neglect for Millie. She took one last look at her mother, and held back tears and walked out the house. She locked the door behind her, and walked to her car.Millie started the inguene and drove out of the houses."On to the park" she said, in a quivery voice, still thinking about her mother.Taking the thoughts of everything from her head, she smiled and drove about 6 miles to the park. She got out of the car, a little made about the recless driving of some people and walked over to the bench.Millie sat down and leaned her head on her arm, that was rested on the handles of the bench. And waited for Kale.

A lot of people would look at the life of Kale Davis and tell you that it wasn’t a great one. Most would look at the happenings over the last couple of weeks and say that he was a bastard that was lucky to still be breathing after some of the horrible things he had done in his life. Others wouldn’t even comment. They would just sadly shake their head at him and walk away, wondering where people like him came from. Did any of that bother Kale in the slightest? Not at all. In fact, if you were to ask Kale, he would say that the people judging him were the ones that were in the wrong. He had been brought up by his father to believe that he really couldn’t do any wrong, that he was better than everyone else, and that he could do whatever the hell he wanted to. He had no limitations, he had nothing to stop him. Kale Davis has the world at his fingertips, and he had a way about him that got him whatever the hell he wanted when he wanted it. Take Aliana Donahue, for example. Kale had seen just how poorly she had been treated by Kade, Brit, and Micah, so he had gone over to cheer up the sad little girl. Only, the sad little girl was an extreme hot one, and the moment that Kale heard her last name, he knew that he had to have her. Donahue Enterprise meant the girl had money and was actually worthy of Kale’s standards. Not that he was looking for anything of the sort. He was just looking for a quick lay that would piss Micah Orsino off, and Aliana was most certainly that.
Meaningless sex wasn’t the only thing he’d been up to, though. He’d recently learned that Brit and Kade were together as a couple, and Kale just couldn’t have that. He had been planning on telling Kade about himself and Brit, but Brit had come clean about it before Kale had gotten the chance. It hadn’t really mattered all that much, though. It had still sent Kade and Brit apart, and that’s exactly what Kale had been hoping for. Well, he’d been hoping that they would break up, but of course they hadn’t. It had caused some distance between them, though, and that’s what Kale had wanted. He had gone to Jared’s one night and sat down at the end of the bar where Brit was working and said a few words to her. Apparently, what he had said had been enough to piss the girl off because before she slapped him across the face, the sting coming on slowly and setting in to where it hurt like one hell of a mother. Then, as if that hadn’t been enough, Kade had come out storming mad and punched Kale in the jaw so hard that he went flying off of his barstool and to the ground. Kale had jumped up, ready to fight, but of course Hunter and Micah were there. It wouldn’t have been a fair fight, and Kale ended up being escorted out of the establishment anyway.
But, that was all behind him now. So what if he wasn’t welcomed back to Jared’s anytime soon. Like he really cared about the stupid bar all that much. There were plenty of other places in the city of Seattle to go to get drunk and pick up women at. As it turns out, the kind of women that Kale was particularly fond of were drawn to the bruises, wanting to hear the story, wanting to ask him how much it hurt and to coddle and baby him. To touch him and to go home with him was what they had all wanted in the end, and that’s exactly what they got. It was a beautiful thing, really. Kade and that crew thought that they had been hurting him when they had actually helped him out a bit. Oh, the irony of that situation, right? Then, there was the fact that Kale had also gotten a piece of little Miss Tish Martin to make it even better. That had to piss Micah, Kade, and Hunter off, and Kale loved it. Anything that he could do to get at those people made him happy, and that’s what brought today’s game to mind. Kale had gotten Millie’s name and her number to set up a date with her after having her stitch him up in the hospital that day. It wasn’t hard to figure out who she was. A high school senior about to graduate, and wouldn’t you know it? She was also the best friend of one Anna Allan, who happened to be Hunter’s fiancé and Brit’s cousin. How great was that? Kale had just laughed to himself upon finding all of this out. It really couldn’t get any better than that unless he was actually able to get Anna to sleep with him, or maybe get another shot at Brit. Those two were very unlikely to happen, though, so Kale would settle with screwing over Anna’s best friend.
The day started out like any normal one did for the infamous Kale Davis. He woke up alone in his bed after having gotten in late the night before. He’d gone home with some chick whose first name Kale was sure started with a S, but it might have been a B… anyway, she’d gotten hooked on those dark eyes of his, and after a few drinks, she was offering to take him home with her. Kale never said no to an offer like that, and that’s exactly what they did. They had taken a taxi to her decent little apartment across the city, and Kale had sweet talked and bullshitted his way into her pants. Afterward, the woman passed out and Kale was back in his clothes, not even bothering to leave his name and number for her. She had been fun, but not fun enough for Kale to back track to her. That rarely happened anyway. So, he’d gotten a cab back to his car, and then he had driven home and crashed in his own bed. That morning, it was back to the same old routine. Wake up, shower, shave, dress, eat breakfast while kind of paying attention to whatever crap show was on the TV. The news was what Kale had flicked it onto that morning, and none of it really interested him. He had to somewhere to meet Millie that day, anyway. No time for TV. It occurred to Kale that he could call the little date thing off. It wasn’t like he needed to date her to get something, but that wasn’t really why he had started this. It was the thrill of the chase, and the amusement he got out of seeing this girls fall for all of his lies. Nah, he wouldn’t cancel it after all. She seemed naïve enough to believe him. It should be a quick and easy score, then he could leave and be onto the next one.
Kale dressed in casual clothes, a nice white polo with his usual jeans and shoes. His Mustang was parked in the parking lot of the park that he was fairly certain that he was supposed to meet Millie out within minutes after having pulled out of the driveway of his house. He didn’t remember much about their phone conversation, but he knew for damn sure that it hadn’t been his idea to meet with a girl in a park. Kale liked being outdoors, but he didn’t do dates in parks. Apparently, though, this version of him did. This Kale that he was being for Millie must have liked the idea of being out in the open with all sorts of people around and getting some sun on their skin while the chatted and walked around or whatever. Whatever. He knew what she thought he was. Kind. Sort of sweet. Charming. That was the way he was going to have to be today with her if he hoped to get anywhere, and that was what he was aiming for. So, upon spying Millie sitting on that park bench, Kale pulled on a fake smile that looked so real that it would have fooled anyone. He walked over toward her, his hands in the pockets of his jeans. ”There she is,” he said, still smiling and stopping a few feet away to admire her. Yes, he certainly did have good taste. ”Well, aren’t you gorgeous?” Compliments never hurt anything, and Kale figured that they certainly wouldn’t hurt here. Millie seemed shy about that sort of thing, and hearing this would probably be just awesome to her. He continued to smile easily at her, his dark eyes meeting with hers.

Millie hadn't much been use to being on any kind of date. There had only been one man she'd truly loved and well she had to leave him behind. And in doing that she had to move on, and in that case to Kale.Well, dating anyway. She never really tried to keep up her hopes or even expectations and well, that usually worked out for her.But even thinking about her long lost ex-love just made her feel weak inside and even more hurt, and unable to move on to something bigger and better then wasting her life on one man she'd never see again.Even if she wished so desperately to see him again. And in thinking about him, she smiled at his beauty and wisdom and every amazing aspect of this beautiful man that she could never quite get out of her head. And that made it harder to move on or even let her heart open and let go of the fear of losing someone. In her case, letting her heart open and losing another person, makes three, something she could never let happen, but taking a risk is better then being afraid. The say it is better to have loved and lost, then to never have loved at all.And there are two tragedies in life. One is gaining your hearts desire and the other is losing it.And in following those quotes, she would put everything that she has experienced aside and remember, love makes everything OK.
Millie took out her wallet and looked at her mother's picture. Her sober picture. She couldn't help but look at it and wonder what she could be doing other then throwing a fit and drinking all the liquor in the house.Or even running up to the liquor store. When it comes to drinking she will do any and everything to get what she thinks she needs.Even that means making things worse at home. You know Millie is probably the most surprised that she has been drinking and following in her mother's footsteps. They say that you become your mother. If that means a bitter drunk, then they might as well tattoo that across her forehead, just so they don't have to when she is older. But one good thing about her mother's drinking is that she knows what it does and will do to her and she knows that that's not what she wants in her life. She wants to get out of Seattle, the farthest place from her mother and everything that she despises. No matter where it leaves her or takes her.She knows that it would be better then remembering her mother and her life, and ending up as her. That, would probably be her biggest and most realistic fear.
Millie folded up the picture and threw it into the basket that was sitting there next to her.Well, you'd think it would make it, but Millie had never been a very good shooter and of course missed, and would;t you guess that she hit someone. She watched the ball of waste in her eyes fall and his a pair of tennis shoes. She looked slowly up to who it was.And hearing the words this person said.Blushing a little and smiled and laughed a little pushing back some hair and placed her hands on her side and began to speak to her date.Kale, the man she'd stitched up in the hospital and well seeing that he isn't a passionate anymore she could see him any time they wanted to meet each other. That is if they got threw this little thing they call a date now a days. She coved her flushed cheeks letting them die down to normal and began talking."Hey, Kale." Millie never wanted to seem even more obvious that she was deeply appreciative of his commit.Even if he could see it on her face. But who cares, she was on a date were your suppose to flush every now and then.Especially with someone as charming as Kale."I was kinda getting scared you wouldn't come.Well, how was the trip.Trip, what am i talking about, uh how was the drive." she smiled immediately blurting out, "Yea, as you can see I'm a little nervous." she smiled, showing her mildly cute smile.Time to start off with a great nervous wreck, how great.
