DAVID TYLER
full name: david robert tyler nicknames: dave, davey, dee age: 20 birthdate: april 10 gender: male sexuality: heterosexual (straight) wealth status: pretty loaded occupation currently held, if any: nothing. he's looking, though. social standing: adult let's get physical,
height: 5'11" weight: 197 hair color: caramel brown eye color: soft green/blue tattoos/piercings: one tattoo of a four leaf clover on his left arm portrayed by: taylor kitsch
physical appearance in depth:
EYES ; David's eyes might be the most striking part of his appearance. They are the kind of eyes that you get lost in with their unique rings of green and blue. If asked what the favorite part of his apperance was, one of the last things that would come to David's mind woule be his eyes, but ask just about anyone else and they will tell you that he has the kind of eyes that can see into your soul.
HAIR ; David’s hair style isn’t like many guys. He likes to keep his hair long, almost shoulder length, and usually he leaves it out instead of pulling it back into a pony tail. It’s straight for the most part, but sometimes has waves in it. The caramel brown color is nothing out of the ordinary for anyone in his immediate family. His hair is somewhat his trade mark. Ever since his early teenage years he had kept his hair grown out, and his opinion on it is that people either like it or they don’t. There’s no reason to get upset over it or criticize him over something as trivial as his hair.
FACE ; David has a very attractive face. Girls go crazy for his rugged good looks. He keeps it clean shaven for the most part, except for some mornings when he’s just too damn lazy to care if he has a little stubble. His features are sharp and striking, and that is probably what attracts girls to him the most. If you take a quick glance at him, it might seem that all of his features are made up of sharp angles, but if you take a longer look they soften slightly. His full lips are often curled into a subconscious smirk.
BODY ; David has an extremely impressive body. Just one glance at him and it will be no surprise to you if he was to take his shirt off that he has a completely built body. He has a broad chest, muscular arms, and abs that would impress any girl that happened to be walking by and make most male models jealous. He used to have a bronze glow to his skin, but ever since he moved to Seattle his skin seemed to fade a bit to a slightly lighter shade of bronze. Somehow, even with the lack of sun, the tanned skin that he had for so long managed to stick with him.
CLOTHING STYLE ; David actually cares what he wears. He doesn’t seem like the guy who would care about something like clothes, but he does. That doesn’t mean he goes out of his way to get American Eagle shirts and whatever the current style of pants are in, but it does mean that he’s not going to go out of the house wearing any old thing. He doesn’t like the idea of showing people who aren’t interested in seeing them his boxers (but if you do want to know, he’d be more than happy to give you a peek). Usually he goes with neutral clothes, things that you can never go wrong with. No one has ever looked at someone in a pair of jeans and thought to themself, “I can’t believe they walked out of the house looking like that.” David doesn’t wear things until they’re falling apart like some people do. When his clothes need to be replaced, he replaces them. You’re more likely to find him in jeans and a t-shirt than designer clothes, but whatever he’s wearing you can be sure that he’s going to look great in it.
TATTOOS AND PIERCINGS ; David has one tattoo on his left arm of a four leaf clover. David is pretty lucky when it comes to his ability, and this tattoo was actually his way of showing that he was somewhat humble for the fact that he was so blessed. He used to have his left ear pierced, but that didn’t last too long. It added a little more to his edgy look, but that wasn’t the point of it. Ear piercings weren’t exactly what you wanted when you play football, so he eventually took it out and left it out.
and i'll get to know you,
likes:
dislikes:
personality: David is the kind of guy that you don’t want to mess with. Well, he looks it at least. Once you get to know him he actually does have the ability to be a good guy, but at first he’s not really the kind of guy you want to hang out with.
HOW HE COMES OFF
ARROGANT ; David is the kind of guy who really looks like he just doesn’t care. All throughout high school he was used to getting his way, and he was so used to getting praised for his football skills that he was used to thinking that he was the best at whatever he did. He was one of those guys who seems like he’s good at everything he does, and it eventually gave him a sort of air about him that makes him seem like an egotistical jerk.
ABOVE YOU ; You’re not good enough for him. Or, you might think that if you look David straight in the eye when you first meet him. He gives off the vibe that nothing is good enough for him. He seems like the kind of guy that always has the best stuff, the newest stuff, the most high tech stuff, and it makes him come off as a guy who is just better than you in general.
BORED ; When you lay eyes on David in a public place and he’s by himself, he might look pretty bored to you. No matter what kind of event it is, whether he’s just hanging out at the mall or at a wedding reception, he never looks interested in anything that’s going on around him. Sometimes this makes people think that he thinks that he’s too good to be here, and it kind of blends in with the other two points above.
WHEN YOU FIRST MEET HIM
SIMPLE ; David isn’t really the kind of guy who says a lot most of the time. That’s simply because he never really has a lot to say. His mind works in deep, complicated equations, but when someone speaks to him he completely focuses his attention on their words, which usually prevents him from talking too much.
INTELLIGENT ; Even with the little he has to say, you can tell that he has plenty of brains behind his amazing looks. He doesn’t think everything out and make sure that it sound extremely profound or anything, but you can just tell by the way he talks that he is in no way stupid.
SHY ; At first he’s pretty shy. When he’s around people that he knows he’s much more outgoing, but on his own he doesn’t really like talking to new people. There are some days that he does like to meet knew people, but most of the time he’s not going to be the one to approach someone and start up a conversation.
STRONG ; Even from a distance, David looks like he could take someone. If you get on his bad side, it’s more than likely that you’ll stay there. David’s big on first impressions, and if you make a bad one you probably don’t want to talk to him again. David is very strong both physically and emotionally. Even though he doesn’t drop grudges easily, he keeps himself level. That’s not to say that sometimes he won’t lose his temper, but for the most part he is very even minded.
AFTER YOU GET TO KNOW HIM
LOYAL ; He would do anything for his friends without any question. He isn’t the kind of guy to leave a man behind. He’s a team player, and he would do the things that he needed to do for the people that he loves. There is no question that he is a loyal friend and a good man in general.
KIND ; He’s the kind of guy that can understand anything. He’s a good listener and he always has something nice to say. He seems like the kind of guy that wouldn’t be a very nice man, but he usually does have plenty of nice things to say. He’s supportive and nice, but that’s only something that you know if you get to know him. He’s probably one of the nicest people that you’ll ever meet.
TALENTED ; David has plenty of talents. He’s smart, he’s good at football, and almost everything else that he’s ever put his mind to. There is no way to tell how far his talents go until you really get to know him and learn to find out all of the things that he’s done in his life.
FUNNY ; David has a great sense of humor. It’s nothing that he tries to do; it’s not important to him to be funny. However, if you do get to know him and get talking to him, David talks to people, jokes around, and just loves to have a good time and put some completely random and entertaining things out there.
a little bit better,
history in depth: One April evening about twenty years ago, Hannah Tyler was rushed to the hospital by her husband of two years, Peter Tyler. The couple was worried because their baby was a couple of weeks early, but the birth of David Robert Tyler went as smooth as any couples first childbirth. Hannah was thrilled about the baby, but Peter didn't seem anywhere near as happy. Both he and his wife were currently attending medical school, which took up most of their time. How were they going to be able to take care of a baby? The question was answered through her big sister Erin, who already had two babies of her own. She was a stay at home mother to her kids, so what was another addition to the party? Erin knew that her sister wanted to be a doctor, and as her way of supporting her she took care of little David during the day so that Peter and Hannah could finish school. The young couple finished school together and were both making a name for themselves by the time that David was four. It was around this time that Erin and her family moved to Seattle, leaving Hannah and Peter to take care of their son. They didn't seem to have much more time on their hands than they'd had back when they were in school, but the two of them arranged their schedules so that someone was always with David. By this time, Peter had become excited about the idea of having a son, and he liked to spend time with his little boy.
David showed promise from an early age. When he was in pre-school he was speaking and already knew his alphabet. At four he was reading entire books when the other kids were still learning how to read sentences. It just seemed like David was more advanced than all of the other kids, and the truth was that his mind was very advanced. He always seemed ahead of everyone in his classes throughout his schooling years. Both of his parents were very impressed and very proud of their son for doing so well at his school work, but Hannah and Peter agreed that they didn't want him to spend all of his time focusing on his studies. They signed him up for both a football and a baseball team when he was seven, and he instantly took a liking to football, which it turned out he also did extremely well. David was an athlete from then on. He always had energy in him, and every chance he got he wanted to go outside and play football with his family.
Around the time he was nine, both of his parents were offered a position at one of the top medical centers on the west coast. They took the once in a lifetime opprotunity and moved their small family to California. At first, David was reluctant to move, but he soon fit in perfectly with the California crowd. He discovered that he loved water sports, and by the time he was eleven he had mastered surfing and swam everyday in the pool. Peter got smart and decided to include his son in some competitions, which David never got less than second place in. David's originial love of football never faded, even as he got older, and by the time he hit high school he was ready to create a name for himself and start the process of becoming a NFL star. Football took up most of his attention his freshman year of high school, trying to adjust to a new team and a new school, but by the time his sophomore year came around he could afford to get a little more distracted. This was the time of his life that shaped him the most, if you ask him.
During his sophomore year he began to notice all of the attention he could get from girls. In his classes and even while he was just walking down the hallway, he would catch a girl's eye and it would send her into a fit of giggles. David liked the attention and affection that he could get from the female sex, and began using it to his advantage. He began going to parties, where he started to drink. One drunken night when he was fifteen, David lost his virginity to a senior. The whole school heard about it, and much to his surprise he was considered a god by his fellow sophomores and the freshman below him. The juniors and seniors laughed at the girl, but she didn't regret doing it. This lead to quite a few one night stands, and David's life was now spent at parties and football practice. Dispite this, he still managed to get some of the highest marks in his classes.
Hannah and Peter really had no idea what was going on with their son. Once he had been able to be a little more independent and fend for himself, his parents had taken to working long hours, believing that their son could take care of himself. As a result, David got himself into a bit of trouble, but was often dismissed for it. One thing he couldn't get out of was a prank during his senior year in which a group of seniors tagged one of the walls of the auditorium in the dead of night. The police caught them, and they spent the night in jail together. That went on his criminal record, but even that didn't hold the attention of his parents very long.
College was right around the corner, and David began getting scholorships left and right for all of the colleges that he had applied to. He had his choice of where he wanted to go, both based off of his academic scores and his talent in football. His parents, for some reason or another, were very interested in where he went to college. They wanted him to be close by, but at the same time they wanted him to be happy. Eventually David picked a college is southern Washington where he could play football and also go about whatever carreer interested him. His parents didn't want him to move so far away, so they did the only logical thing: they followed him. They found work at a nearby hospital and the family was together for the next five semesters of David's college career.
The school suddenly took away David's scholorship not long after the beginning of his junior year in college. When asked why, the school would not give David a straight answer, but 'pressing matters' lead them to revoke the scholorship. David could easily afford to continue attending the school if he chose to do so, but he decided that if they didn't want him, he didn't want them either. He told his parents he was moving to Seattle, and after the first semester was over at school, David began looking for an apartment. He wanted to move back to California, but he knew what was in California. He needed something new. He needed to get away from everything. And the best way he could think to do that was to get a move on with some familiar faces.
In early March David finally found an apartment in the heart of Seattle, and a few weeks later he was moving all of his stuff in. He's ready to make a new start, but this trip is as much about finding himself as anything.
addictions: coffee. smoking. working out. criminal record: defacing public property. aspirations: David used to want to become a professional football player, but his dream was crushed when his scholorship to the college he was going to was taken away for unknown reasons. Now David isn't sure what he is doing with his life, but he hopes to get a little insight by moving to Seattle. He is considering becoming a doctor like his parents, but he is also considering becoming a vet or a police officer. Yeah, they're very different from each other, and he is hoping that there is something here in Seattle to point him in the right direction.
