physical appearance in depth: Tyler Durden was always a gorgeous being. Right from the start, anyone could tell just by looking at the girl that she was going to be one hell of a beauty, and they certainly hadn’t been wrong. Tyler is a gorgeous, gorgeous girl that seems to have very few flaws in the eyes of any man. Breath taking and awe inspiring, she’s a girl that turns heads no matter where she goes or what she is wearing. If one were to ask her, she’ll most definitely point out some flaws, things that she doesn’t like about herself. And she isn’t one to let her beauty go to her head. Sure, she knows how to use her looks to get what she wants, but it doesn’t alter her personality one bit.
Her body is what turns a lot of heads, naturally. She’s got a taller, slim figure with some nice curves to her. She’s small around the waist, well sized in the chest, and her legs are pretty gorgeous. Tyler’s slim figure comes from a mother who was extremely health conscious, and any muscle tone that she has is thanks to a high school volley ball career and her efforts in yoga. Her figure isn’t one that’ll get her into a modeling career, seeing as she’s not super tall and extremely thin, but that’s okay by her. It’s not like she has any interested in modeling anyway.
As if having a nearly perfectly body isn’t enough, Tyler’s face is angelic. Her eyes are a dark brown, mysterious and always enough to lure any man into them. She doesn’t give her eyes a lot of thought, but Tyler does know how to highlight them with a few light splashes of makeup, making those dark chocolate eyes stand out beautifully against it. Then, there’s the structure of her face. Her cheek bones are set right, and her nose and lips are perfectly proportional without any kind of weird oddities. It’s the face of an angel all right, and it’s one that’s very much deceiving as Tyler is nowhere near an angel.
Ty’s hair is another factor in her amazing beauty. Long, chestnut colored locks come down past her shoulders and hang around her face in what looks like the perfect cut. It’s hair that the stylists all comment on, and that other girls wish they could have. It’s beautiful and shiny, thick and full. There are all sorts of ways for Tyler to wear it, but she likes to leave it hang down or to pull it up in a regular pony tail or a bun. That’s for a casual look, of course. When it gets to a more fancy occasion, she likes to doll herself up and make her hair do something amazing like it can.
Her clothing often varies from day to day, depending on her mood and what she’s dressing for. Tyler is more on the preppy side of things, liking skirts and designer clothes. She loves flip flops with a passion, but also loves a good pair of heels. Jewelry is a thing with her, Ty having all sorts of different rings and necklaces to wear with different outfits. She tends to dress up more often than she dresses down, though, her wearing sweats only if she’s in a really shitty mood, or when she just wants to be comfortable. Jeans are a common thing with her, as are graphic tees with band names or song lyrics.

personality: There really isn’t one word that can sum up the personality of Tyler. She’s a complex sort of girl with some qualities she shows very openly to the world, and others that she keeps more to herself. A lot of people look at her and think, “Oh, she’s a pretty girl. Must be kind of ditzy and a bit on the slutty side of things.” It’s how a lot of girls with good looks are perceived, but it’s not entirely true for most of them. It’s not true for Tyler. She’s pretty, any maybe she does tend to be a little slutty from time to time, but she’s not stupid. Nothing pisses her off more than people assuming that she’s an airhead just because she’s pretty. Well, except for them making a reference to “Fight Club” when they hear her name, but that’s different. Ty is actually a very bright girl and passed all of her classes in high school with nothing lower than a C. Her college courses are the same. She’s a hard worker, doing her best and doing whatever it takes to be successful. She has her slacker moments, but what can she say? Everyone has those, not just poor Tyler.
Tyler’s book smarts are one thing, but her musical talent is another. She loves the piano, and took a great interest in the music cluster. That’s where she excels, music being a huge part of her life. Ty isn’t particularly talented at playing anything other than the piano, as it just wasn’t cool to be in the band in high school, but she does have a good ear for it. Her iPod is her constant companion, and she’s constantly ducking into music stores to check out the new groups and never leaves the store without buying at least one CD. This is a side that she doesn’t let a lot of the world see of her. It’s not that she’s embarrassed, or that she’s shy. It’s more like it’s something that hers just for her and not for everyone else. It makes it more personal, and it’s a little semi secret that she likes to keep. Her closest friends know about it, but that’s about it.
Again, shy isn’t the word to describe Tyler. She’s a girl that will talk to pretty well anyone and everyone about anything and everything. She’s a perky little thing, always with a smile. Well, almost always, but if one becomes engaged in a conversation with Tyler on a good day, she’ll talk their leg off. She can keep a conversation going like there’s no tomorrow, talking about random things and bouncing from subject to subject. That’s not to say that she can’t have a serious conversation. Tyler likes to smile and to be happy, but she can certainly come back to Earth and listen when someone needs to talk. She’s a great friend like that, and once you have found a friend in this girl, you have a friend for life. She’s loyal to a tee.
But, cross her, and she’ll strike with vengeance. Ty is a pretty easy going girl, not being all uppity and on a constant emotional rollercoaster, but there are things that make her mad. Her temper isn’t all that short, and she will try to be patient, but there’s only so much the girl can take before it builds and she lets it all go. She snaps back with venom on her words and angry flames in those dark eyes. It’s at this point when she really doesn’t give a damn if she hurts someone’s feelings or not. Tyler tells it like it is even when she’s not angry or upset, so you better believe she won’t hold back when someone deserves a good verbal lashing. As for a physical fight, she has yet to get in one, but don’t let that make you think she can’t hold her own. She’s little, but I’d bet she’s a scraper when it comes right down to it.
Love is something that Tyler believes in, but has yet to find. There have been a lot of guys to come in and out of her life, and her bed, making it hard for her to really believe that there is someone out there for her. None of them have ever seemed to want to stick around for long, and if they did it was just for sex, not for her. Tyler has let that give her the idea that she wasn’t meant for love, but she’s seen that it exists for other people. She’d love to fall in love, but for now playing the field is working out for her. She doesn’t make it all that easy for a guy, though. It goes by her terms, and she’s got some pretty high standards. Unless, of course, she’s just out and looking for a good fuck. Then she’ll make it damn easy and lower her standards a great deal. Don’t let that make you think she’s nothing but a whore, though. Tyler is a kind, caring, and sensitive girl. She just hasn’t had a lot of luck when it comes to love.
a little bit better,
history in depth: Nathaniel S. Durden is a man that is used to getting whatever it is that he wants exactly when he wants it. He was taught to be spoiled since day one, having everything in his life handed to him on a silver platter thanks to the old money his family had that never lost it’s value. He was brought up to believe that he was indeed better than the other children, and that his things were most definitely nicer than theirs. His father wasn’t around a lot, nor his mother, so Nathaniel was raised by nannies and caretakers, who bowed down to his every whim and want. Sure, he had friends, but they were more interested in his money than his awful attitude, but did he care? Not at all. Money was his power and he knew it. It was his freshman year of college that presented the first challenge in young Nathaniel’s life, and it came in the form of Lyla Bailey.
Lyla was a gorgeous dark haired girl that had caught Nathaniel’s eye. He wanted her, so he just assumed that he would get her like every other girl that he had ever wanted. When Lyla turned him down, it not only angered Nathaniel, but fueled him up for a long chase. He would have that pretty girl, no matter what it took. In the end, though, it was Lyla that would have him. She took him and opened him up to a world that wasn’t run by money, but by love. It sounds so cliché, but Nathaniel fell in love with this girl, that emotion replacing the initial want with one that was much, much more. They were married a few years later, their love unconditional and Nathaniel’s cold heart warmed by Lyla’s sweet touch. It wasn’t long after the couple was married that they decided they wanted to have a family.
Nine months later, while everyone else was out celebrating the Fourth of July with fireworks and cook outs, Tyler Noel Durden was brought into this world. Tyler is traditionally a boy’s name, but Nathaniel and Lyla loved it and wanted it for their baby girl. That was it, then. The parents decided on only one child, and showered their precious little angel with love and affection. Of course, the book “Fight Club” was published in 1996, and then a movie to follow in 1999 that had a psycho in it with the name of Tyler Durden. That was a little disheartening, but they lived with it and went on. Their little girl was a good one, one that they never worried about. That was their first mistake.
Tyler’s childhood was pretty normal. She went to school in the Seattle publics, made friends, and learned what it was that the teachers were teaching. Vivian Anderson quickly became her best friend, Kade Trent and Zach Cool coming on the scene when middle school started. Tyler’s parents loved her and pampered her, but they rarely paid attention to what she did. This crew that had formed was a mischievous one, each member finding different ways to get into trouble. This was when Tyler’s rebellion started. Her parents weren’t watching, so why not go out and cause a little stir? In middle school, it was never anything major, but when high school started, so did the bigger things. Like her losing her virginity freshman year to a senior football player and picking up a pill popping habit.
Ty quickly became one of the so called “populars,” along with that same group of friends she had made in middle school. She and Viv were like sisters, and the boys were never far behind. She quit with the pills sometime during sophomore year, those same friends doing a bit of an intervention on her. It wasn’t like she needed them, any way. By now she was partying it up every weekend, getting drunk and getting laid. She kept up with her grades, though, and managed to keep a spot on the high school’s girl’s varsity volleyball team. There was the typical high school drama, but nothing stopped her like the death of a close friend, Jared Trent. It took place the first week of summer after her junior year, and that summer was definitely the most rainy one to have hit Seattle yet.
That summer was hard, but senior year was harder yet. Tyler and Jared had been pretty close friends, just as she was close with Kade and Hunter. She tried to pull on a smile for the remaining Trent brothers, though, and eventually it got a little easier. The friends got through it together, and to celebrate that, they all loaded up in Vivian’s car and headed for Vegas. The road trip was what they all needed, and it turned out to be more life altering than any of them had imagined. To start, Tyler and Zach got much closer. They had always been friends, but with Hunter discovering a gambling addiction and Kade and Vivian holing up together so much of the time, it left Tyler and Zach on their own. They talked, and it brought them closer on an emotional level. Which lead to a new kind of closeness for them on a physical level. Tyler knew that she could fall easily for the boy, but she was leaving for an university up state, and she hated to think of falling, and then ending up with a broken heart. Her worries came to and end when one morning she woke up to the news that Kade and Vivian had somehow gotten married. Ty and Zach weren’t alone so much, and after arriving back home in Seattle, she never rekindled the flame from Vegas.
Tyler was too busy helping out her pregnant best friend. Vivian got pregnant shortly after her whirlwind marriage, and Tyler was right there to help like a BFF should be. She was actually excited about the baby, though so scared for Viv and Kade. They were so young, and their marriage hadn’t been planned, nor had the pregnancy. Kade and Vivian made it look easy, though, so Tyler let up on her worries a bit. It was the September day that her friend went into labor and delivered the baby that her world went crashing down. Tyler gained a godson that day, but lost her best friend of nearly fourteen years. She was broken, and as much as she would have loved to stay to help with the baby, she headed back to her school. It was like running, and it was easier to do than to stick around and be constantly reminded of that pain and loss. She kept tabs on Vivian’s son and Kade for a little while, but she slowly drifted from that life and into the new one that she was making for herself.
Two years later, in the present, she was reminded of that life when she found out that Kade was nearly killed in a car accident. That shook her to the core, thinking that she had almost lost another friend. It was time to go back to Seattle, even though her parents had relocated to sunny California. So, she transferred schools and packed her things for the city that she had originally called home. Tyler Durden's back in Seattle, and she’s going to do things right this time.
addictions: music. shopping. dramatic tv shows. nothing harmful, as you can see. criminal record: none. aspirations: Tyler is really wanting to make a profession out of music. What she'll do with the degree she's earning, she really hasn't a clue. Just so long as she's got music, her life will be good. Not that a lot of people see this side of her. That should probably be another aspiration of hers, to show people this wonderfully talented, and up until now hidden, side of her.
