{ kale davis.
Name: Kale Ryan Davis
Age: twenty
Gender: male
Sexual Orientation: straight.
Social Standing: adult.
Physical Appearance:
Kale Davis is a guy that will most certainly draw in a girl’s attention. He’s got the looks, and don’t even think that he doesn’t know it. From the beginning he was constantly told that he was an adorable child, and that he was sure to grow up into a handsome young man. As he grew older, his looks matured and he quickly became an eye candy for the ladies. Kale isn’t all that vain, but he does put a little bit of effort into how he looks, not wanting to come off as a slob or someone that really doesn’t give a damn what they look like and walks around looking like hell all the time. He does tend to think a lot of himself at times, though, that just being part of his personality. That’s what drives him to keep up the appearance, and to take pride in having the good fortune of desirable physical features.
His hair isn’t something that he worries about a lot. It’s a dark blonde, almost brown color, but he keeps it so short that it requires nearly no maintenance at all. There are times when he will let it get to be one or two inches in length, and then he will usually spike it up a little, giving him more of that city, bad boy appeal that the girls seem to be in love with these days. Long hair never agreed with Kale, and you’ll never see him wear it long. It’s just easier for him to keep the way it is, that being the reason a lot of men keep their hair short. It’s cooler in the summer time, and there’s no work involved. Kale’s reason is just the same.
Have you ever heard someone say that someone else has the face of an angel? That might just be true in Kale’s case. He’s got gorgeous blue eyes that will catch anyone’s attention. They hold a gaze that you’ll swear you’ll feel on you, and once you look up to meet it you’ll never want to look away. His nose is pretty well proportional to his face, it being fairly straight as well. Which could be seen as surprising, considering how many times he’s had it broken. If Kale’s eyes don’t get you, then his smile will. Whether he’s showing his pearly white teeth or not, his smile is considered a killer, and one that does a lot of talking for him. His cheek bones aren’t overly defined, nor is his jaw.
Kale stands at just over six feet tall, so he’s not overly tall, but he’s not in with the short guys, either. He’s got a lot of muscle to him, his biceps and abs being the most defined of all of them. Kale works out often, and his muscular form is the result, along with keeping him in tremendous shape and keeping him strong. It’s on his muscular arms that you will find his tattoos. On his right bicep, you will find two tattoos. The first is the word “loyalty”, with the Chinese symbol for family below it. On his left bicep is the zodiac symbol for Taurus. There is another tattoo on the side of his stomach, a memorial of a lost friend, and initials on his ankle. What can he say. Tattoos are like potato chips. You can’t have just one.
The way he dresses screams preppy boy. He wears graphics tees a lot, usually with a light button up shirt over top. He’ll wear long sleeves as well, and will go for a comfortable hoodie if it is cooler outside. He’s more of a fan of the leather coat, though. He’s the type of guy that likes sunglasses, and doesn’t go for the rough, bad boy look often. Kale does like to be comfortable, though, and you will catch him in something less dressy from time to time. But, you know how those city boys are. You have to keep up with the trends, and always look like you’re ready to bring it.
Personality:
Once one has had the pleasure, or displeasure, of meeting Kale Davis, they will most likely not be forgetting about him anytime soon. It’s not because he’s going to amaze them with his kindness and good nature, or that he’ll send them off impressed by his great wit and mind. They won’t even remember him for a great sense of humor, or a laid back way of doing things. What people most remember about Kale Davis is his amazing self confidence, his arrogance, and his loud, mostly obnoxious way of going about doing certain things. To put it lightly, Kale is not the guy that most people would not wish to meet again, and would never consider calling a friend. Unless, of course, they’re like him in nature. Then they’d get along just fine.
He tends to be self centered. Kale was the youngest of the children born in his family, and everyone knows what they say about the baby. They’re spoiled rotten, and often get special treatment compared to the older siblings. In Kale’s family, all of the children were spoiled, but Kale got a lot more attention that his older brother and sister did. As a result of that, he learned to be self centered, not really caring much about other people, and rarely putting them first. It’s usually all about him, or nothing at all. The only exception to this with Kale are his siblings. He’ll go out of his way to help them, and he’ll gladly sit and listen to them talk about their problems instead of always talking about his. Kennedy and Katherine should feel honored, but they’re just like Kale when it comes to this trait. They probably don’t even realize that he is self centered, or that it’s a pretty rare thing when he allows them to get a few words in.
Kale doesn’t need Clearasil to feel confident. His skin is just fine, and he has always had the ego and the confidence to overcome anything that has been thrown his way in life. Some of the time, it’s been a good thing. He hasn’t let petty little things stand between him and the things that he wants, but he can take it a little too far at times. Mostly, he takes it too far when it comes to the ladies. Kale is a player through and through, and his confidence and charisma have helped him nail plenty a pretty woman. He goes for what he wants, says it like it is, and doesn’t give a damn whether people like or not. For superficial people, that’s probably a real turn on. For people that are looking for more than a one night stand or a wild fling, his confidence is probably the most annoying thing about Kale. It’s like he’s confident to the point where he thinks that he’ll get whatever he wants. He usually does get what he wants, and when he doesn’t, he’ll keep working at it until he does. He’s stubborn and determined like that.
He’s a wild one, that’s for sure. Kale has the money to do whatever it is that he pleases for the rest of his life without ever having to lift a finger, and he uses that money to fund his party habits and his risky adventures. He loves anything that involves a risk, like sky diving, or bungee jumping. Kale’s down a lot of crazy things, but he loves the thrill of it and never backs down from a challenge. Or a dare. That’s what got him hooked on a few nasty little drugs, and why he’s still has some slight addictions to this day. Hey, it’s just another risk, another thing that he can do for the thrill of it all. At least, it used to be like that. Now everyone is a druggies, and it’s not so exciting anymore. Too bad that sort of habit isn’t an easy one to break.
Even though it doesn’t seem like Kale has a lot of good qualities to him, there are a few that make him not a total waste of life. He does have a really good sense of humor once you get past the arrogance and the cockiness of him. He likes to laugh and to see other people laughing and having a good time. He’s also extremely loyal to his family, and the few real friends that he has managed to acquire and keep over the years. He doesn’t like to let just anyone be his friend, him going along the lines that he’s almost always going to be better than the people that approach him, but there are a few rare occasions that he’ll be a good person. Maybe it’ll just take the right person to turn him around from the one sided way that he was brought up. Or, maybe that’s just a bunch of bull and Kale is never going to change. Time will tell.
History:
Kale Davis’s story isn’t one that has a lot of complicated details. Hell, there’s hardly even been any kind of bad in his life that he’s noticed. His father came from a southern family that was quite wealthy. When Miles moved to New York City and got into stock broking, his wealth only grew. He met Miss Angela Woodson at a banquet held in the city. She was a gorgeous woman, not to mention she was an heiress to a family that almost made Davis’s money look like nothing much at all. It was a perfect match financially, but what was even better about it was that Angela and Miles actually adored one another. That adoration turned to love, and Miles proposed a short six months after the young couple met. It was a perfect set up, and no one in their right mind could question it no matter how they tried to say it was for nothing more than the money.
Kennedy Davis was the first child to be born into the family. Four years later, Katherine would enter the world. And, last but not least, Kale would become an addition. He was the last of the additions, though. It was after he was born in that bustling city of New York that the family picked up and moved to Los Angeles, California. And then to Beverly Hills. Then to Miami, Florida, Houston, Texas, and then to Hollywood. By the age of fifteen, Kale had lived in all of those places. All big cities with a lot of sun. Throughout this childhood, he and his siblings were absolutely spoiled, though seeing as he was the baby of the family, he got more of the attention. He had everything that he had ever wanted handed to him on a plate, even when he did start that teenaged rebellion and landed himself in trouble a few times. His father just bought Kale’s way out, and there was no more mention of it. “We’re living the dream,” Miles would say. “Just remember, every other kid would kill to be you and to have what you have.”
Kale had everything, except for real friends, of course. Moving around so much would limit that for any child, but with Kale’s potent personality, friends were a bit harder to make. Not that he needed friends, anyway. He had his brother and sister, the three of them staying pretty close despite their age differences. Plus, with the kind of money that their family had, Kale could buy friends. Why go through all the hassle of trying to make them the old fashioned way when the family would only pick up and leave, anyway?
After spending about five months in the Hollywood area, the family picked up and moved once again, this time to a place where the sun wasn’t always so shiny. Seattle, Washington. Kale hated it. It rained all the time, and the people there weren’t the kind of people that he was used to. It was still a city, yes, but it was the kind of city that he had grown up in. He was seventeen at this point, a senior in high school. His life was pretty simple. He went to school just as a formality. He did well enough to get by and to graduate, but he was never anything outstanding. He went out and partied, had a lot of different girls, and got caught up in the drug scene from time to time. This is also where he met Kade Trent, the guy that he got into the biggest fight of his life with. They probably would have killed one another if not for Kade’s buddies and Kale’s pulling them back. It wasn’t long after that that Kale and the rest of his family moved back to New York City.
That was three years ago. Now, the living situations are kind of different. Angela and Miles aren’t living in the same home. Hell, they aren’t even on the same coast. Angela took up a residence in Los Angeles. Miles and Katherine are both still in New York. Kennedy decided to take off to Beverly Hills about a year ago. Kale’s the only one that really stays in touch and keeps tabs on his older brother. As for Kale, though, he’s on an aimless roam around the world. He’s been to France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, out to visit his mother and Kennedy, and back to see his family in New York. Then, it was down to Hawaii, and on to Australia for a few weeks. Kale’s really got no heading, and that, he supposes, is the reason why he ended up back in the rainy city of Seattle. It could be interesting, though. One never knows until they try.
