Hello! My name is Eclipse. !
I am 17 (nearly 18!)
I have been roleplaying for Going on 5 years. , and here is a sample post of mine.
Sample: I despise these… I used a really short one of mine, so don't take that as being my usual length.
Name: Caelan Augustine Leavitt (aka Chantelle Beauregard)
Pronounced KAY-len LAY-vett
Age: 29
Gender: Biologically male
Sexual Orientation: Gay (Transvestite)
Social Standing: Adult
Physical Appearance:
Caelan is not the kind of man one might expect to make a very good woman. The simple fact of the matter is, however, that not many queens are. Caelan isn’t always wide-open about being a transvestite to everyone anyway, or even about being gay for that matter. In general though, he dresses in a manner that makes people question it. He doesn’t mind the stares though, especially not when he’s with someone he knows well and they can joke about it. It’s harder for him when he’s alone, but only when he’s planning to be in the “bad” part of town will he purposely try to hide, wearing possibly the only pair of men’s jeans he owns, and usually a sweatshirt if the temperatures will let him get away with it.
He stands 5’8” tall, being just a bit below average for men nowadays, and refuses to disclose his weight at any given time. It is clear that he isn’t overweight, but rather has a decent amount of muscle on his body, which may come as surprising to some. He does work out every now and then, although he doesn’t particularly enjoy doing a lot of work like that for no reason (or even for a good reason, for that matter). Either way, whatever he’s doing it works. A relatively quick metabolism helps as well, of course. His skin is relatively unmarked (maybe a couple little scars left over from various bumps and bruises; he doesn’t tend to heal too well), and is just very slightly tanned. He doesn’t tend to sunbathe like most people, but one tends to develop a bit of a tan anyway just from walking around in the sun on a regular basis. He does have a bit of a feminine way about him though. Something in the way he walks tends to tip people off and make a few of the more observant people (or those who are around him for more than a few minutes) glance back towards him more than once, wondering at the fitted jeans and tee shirt. They wonder about the slight sway of his hips and about the lack of movement in his shoulders that most hand. If they can get close enough, they wonder at the carefully-manicured nails and the leftover flecks of last night’s nail polish that wouldn’t come off all the way.
The funny thing is, if Caelan wanted to he could get most any girl he wanted. He knows how to flirt, but he doesn’t even need to do that half the time. He’s a handsome man, and not in the “pretty” kind of way. He is genuinely handsome, and few would guess the second life he leads under wig, perfume, and makeup (especially when he allows a bit of stubble to grow on his cheeks). He has a strong-looking jaw when there’s a bit of dark color on it, above which fairly feminine, full lips often lie in a tiny bit of a smile. Adding to the more masculine look, his deep brown hair is quite short. This is to allow him to pull a wig on more easily, but it works just as well as a hairstyle unto itself. His entire face is very expressive, especially his eyes and eyebrows. His eyebrows are rather thin and are not very dark, but they accent his face perfectly to give him very readable expressions. His eyes help a lot as well. They are bright blue in color, and seem to almost broadcast what he’s feeling when he’s happy, sad, angry, etc. Altogether, Caelan can change expressions in a heartbeat, and he has those kind of expressions that seem contagious. When he’s very happy, he just beams and the people around him can’t help feeling that way too. When he’s sad or disappointed, it shows to a tremendous degree; Caelan simply cannot hide his feelings, and he never has been able to.
One thing Caelan does have is a good fashion sense. He knows what looks good, and can predict with remarkably accuracy what will look good on others. Of course, some people think the outfits he recommends for men make them look a bit gay as well, but he thinks it looks good, and no one can really disagree with him. For women though, he is the perfect companion to take out on a shopping trip (and he loves them, too, so there’s no worry about dragging him along). He owns jeans in various fittings, a variety of tee shirts, and is partial to zip-up sweatshirts whenever it is cool enough to wear them. He can also pick out semi-formal attire, although the more formal he gets the more womanly his fashion tends to get. He loves scarves, and prefers to wear a cravat instead of a tie when he is forced to wear anything resembling a suit. He never wears black, grey, or brown except as an accent color (and brown he tends to avoid regardless).
In women’s fashion, Caelan is just as knowledgeable. He can discuss labels and combinations with the girlfriends of men he’s just met for hours if they let him (which they never do). He owns a decent number of dresses on his own as well, but under no circumstances will he wear a skirt. Skirts give a schoolgirl look, and it has been made very clear that, when she is Chantelle instead of Caelan, she is a classy queen and not some innocent novice. Two of his favorite things: long dresses with a slit and a bit of a bunch on the side to show off the leg, and jewelry. He does tend to have a bit of trouble with wigs though. Unlike most, he doesn’t particularly favor wild hairstyles, but views ordinary ones as simply too plain. This leaves him few options if he is ever reduced to fixing his own wig (which he does not know how to do).
Personality:
Caelan is generally an extremely likeable guy. He has a great sense of humor (even when the joke is directed at him), and he loves to mess around the generally have fun. He can get a little melodramatic at times, and can be a bit of what other men would call a “pansy” about certain things, but overall he’s great company, and the kind of guy who would never hurt anyone if he could avoid it – physically or emotionally.
One thing he is not is a loner. Caelan likes a little bit of alone time, sure. Everyone needs a little bit of time to themselves to collect their thoughts, after all, and he is no different. However, there are some people who thrive on their time alone. Caelan is not one of these people. He likes to be alone for a little while, but most of the time he prefers the company of others. He needs socialization, and without it he tends to become a bit sullen. Having people around him makes him more relaxed, and he feels like he can be free to do what he wants when he has people there to support him. That’s why he rarely dresses in drag alone except for shows. He just doesn’t feel comfortable enough unless he’s in a group of people who either like it or don’t care either way. Being in a group also gives him the chance to get anything that’s been bugging him off his chest, so it helps him relax a lot. Not to mention that it’s just plain fun to hang out with friends a lot.
Little things can bother Caelan a lot though. He always feels terrible if he seems to have hurt someone’s feelings, even accidentally. He’s also one of those people who always wants to take home every furry thing in the pet store, no matter how expensive or how bad it is in the long run. Sometimes things in his life that really don’t matter all that much in the long run bother him a lot, and he can be a bit melodramatic about it at times too. Sometimes it can be very funny (at least to onlookers), but there have been times in the past when it has gotten a bit out of hand and people have had to call him on it. He usually is able to admit when he is wrong, although sometimes he really doesn’t like to and won’t actually admit it out loud. It really depends on the situation.
There are very few things that Caelan truly, honestly dislikes with every fiber of his being. Bugs are one of them. Snakes are another. He isn’t too fond of rats or mice, but he might come around to that eventually just because they’re so cute and fuzzy (although he hasn’t noticed the cute part yet). He doesn’t like getting dirty and sweaty, and he doesn’t like messiness. His apartment is always perfectly clean. He’s also a damn good cook when he tries to be, although he does need a recipe for his cooking. He’s not that good. One thing he does love to do is paint. He isn’t necessarily a good artist, but he likes it nonetheless. He just likes paint. He likes the fresh colors, and especially the smell. It doesn’t matter whether it’s acrylic, oil, or wall paint; he’ll use it no matter what. If he has someone there to mess around with him, then all the better. He’s a good dancer too, and kicks ass at DDR. Oh yeah, and he loves watching chick flicks and romance movies.
Generally, Caelan doesn’t seem like a very strong person. He’s fine with leaning on others when he’s feeling down, and he tends to cave under emotional pressure somewhat easily. Because of all this, most people tend to view him as a pushover who doesn’t really have much of a spine. When it comes to defending himself, maybe this is true. However, when it comes to taking care of those he loves, Caelan would be perfectly willing to give everything he had for them. Money, home, food, some of his time... Whatever they needed, he’d give it to them without a second thought, and without expecting anything in return. When people come to him with problems, he tends to get very motherly with them, but not in an annoying way. He is an excellent comforter, and is someone you can trust to keep a secret no matter how others try to persuade him to leak it out.
There is one time when Caelan tends to be a much stronger person. When the world seems to be dumping all its weight on him and he can’t take it any more, he puts on his wig, makeup, dress, and high-heels and becomes the beautiful Chantelle Beauregard. Being Chantelle makes him feel beautiful, confident, and (most often) liked. Above all, he is comfortable with himself, and he can brush off the stresses of the world under the carpet, stomping them down with glittering shoes.
He does have something of a mothering instinct, and Caelan likes the idea of himself as a parent. He knows he’ll never be a father, but he is hoping that one day he might be the mother figure of his own child, hopefully with a husband by his side. He doesn’t want a typical suburban family, but he does want something close-knit and special.

Kalad watched the cup of ice melt, but was listening to what the other two were saying. As he lifted the cold water off the fire, he started turning around to hand it to the beast-man, but paused halfway. He was glad to know the beast-man's name, but something else stuck out to him. The beast-man said he was from... Where? He had heard "Morrowvale," but it was an unfamiliar name, unlike any name of a village, mountain, or other landmark he had ever heard here, and he had traveled a lot in his lifetime.
He held the cup out to the beast-man (Lauder, as he had introduced himself), and when it became apparent that the man would only slosh the cold water all over himself, the giant helped him bring the cup to his muzzle and drink. When he was satisfied, Kalad put the cup down on the floor and seated himself more comfortably, removing the heavy half-jacket he had been wearing (half because the sleeves only came down to his elbows). Underneath he wore a leather tunic which appeared to have seen better days. It was cut in at least three places, and in each of those places there was a bloodstain. Kalad was rarely able to catch enough game at one time to make clothes that would fit him, so he had to use what he had and make it last a long, long time.
The elf spoke of Hathrune as being a calm world, and while Kalad did not agree and knew that if that was the way the elf thought that he must not have been here very long, he brought neither of those thoughts to bear. Instead, he looked between the two others and asked slowly, "...If I might, what is this Morrowvale? I have never heard of such a place... Or Vyrren either," He felt rather foolish, for these places seemed well-known to the other two, but he genuinely had never heard of either of them.
