Hello! My name is {Skye !
I am { sweet17.
I have been roleplaying for { like 4 years , and here is a
sample post of mine from the point of view of my character Danny Robbins
Sample:
Have you ever been to a small town? I’m not talking about just a regular city with an average population, small enough to have good friends but big enough to keep meeting new people. No, I’m talking about the small of small towns. The kind of places where your grandma baked pies for your teacher’s twenty-eighth birthday because her cousin, the mayor’s wife, was too busy helping her husband paint the library along with your father and the only doctor around. I’m talking so small you start to realize that its impossible for these people not to be inbred, due to the size of the place and the male to female ratios. Sardine can small. Marshall-Wynn County is that kind of small.
I confirmed this in my mind, then leaned against the warm metal of the moving truck and glared out at the vague brush. It was so thick and I was staring so intently that eventually the details ran together and it had the same texture as a smear of artist’s browns, yellows, and greens on a 3D canvas.
“Careful Danny-boy, or your face will stick like that!” My father joked enthusiastically. My eyes flicked to him, with the intent of making him shrink a little, but he was too stoked to be here, and had his back to me as he swung some kitchen chairs out of the back of the truck’s back. “Danny would you grab those boxes by the passenger door?” My mom’s high voice called to me from the porch.
Neither one of my parents were paying attention to my subtly-executed temper tantrum, so I decided to save it for a quiet dinner conversation and cooperate. I rounded the back of the truck to the small stack of boxes that were piled with near-pyramid perfection on top of one another, pausing to rid my desire to scatter them along the road as my little Toyota raced away from this horror-novel town.
I looked up at the house again, it wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t the squat little sagging monster with dark windows and ominous creaking door hinges I was expecting. It was a decent, regular small-town house, with fresh cream paint and white trim with a clean wrap around porch. And it completely ridded me of my imagination.
Sighing, I leaned against the door, getting over myself. I really had no right to be upset. It was, after all, somehow my fault that we wound up here. I just wish everyone hadn’t had to make such a big goddam deal about it.
I caught my own reflection in the side mirror of the u-haul, and couldn’t help noting the way everything about me seemed to darken unnaturally in the reflected shade. My sandy brown hair, shaggy and pushed lightly past my eyes looked muddy and thick. I ran my fingers through it, believing it’s plastered to my head from resting on the drive in. My eyes too, normally they were hazel and bright, but maybe because of my evasive mood, they were darker and plain, bored. Was I getting scruffy already? From just a day on the road, I rubbed my fingers against the prickle on my jaw. Super... not even eighteen and I was pretty sure I could out-tuft my dad.
“Wanna stop checking yourself out there son and give us a hand?” My Dad was looking over the hood of the truck at me. I think he’s trying to be funny as much as serious. I threw him a little look, but obliged, and tucked a box under each arm. Heading into the belly of the beast, I ignored the irritation that clawed its hot, stinging nails under my skin and promised that today would not be a good day at all.
{ Aleah Bellons
Name: Aleah Anastasia Bellons
Age: 21.x.just legal
Gender: Girl Power baby.x.
Sexual Orientation: Bi-Sexual.x.Ill swing either way
Social Standing: College.x.Sophomore
Physical Appearance: { Aleah has been one of the lucky girls who's always been, well, pretty. She's had the benefit of a world who will make an exception for her, and at times she has actually used it to her advantage. (Wrong, but if you've got it- sometimes you just need to flaunt it!)
She's of an average height for a female her age, around 5'8. She's mostly legs, which are fairly well toned from her love of distance running. With her weight of a low 125 lbs, she balances it fairly well, evenly porportioned. A classic hourglass figure with sexy curves and a fine bone structure. The only flaws pretty much to her body are just under the clothes. From a dog attack when she was younger, Aleah has an assortment of scars along her inner arms, right hip, and along two ribs. The pearly skin is knotted and flawed against the rest of the even bronze tone.
Her face is thin and angled. High cheek bones that support a clean white smile that can curve a million ways for a million expressions. Full lips that she frequently slathers with a shine of burt's bees chapstick. Her eyes are a deep ocean green, and often flash with humor or subtlty, sometimes betraying what shes feeling even if she doesnt say it. Sleek black arched eyebrows match the mid-back fall of long dark locks. Her natural hair color is dark, chocolate brown but she prefers to dye it raven black. Its normally just in a pin-straight hang with a few layers around her face, but sometimes she'll pin it up messily. She has thin hair, which she inherited from her mother's side, and a sprinkling of freckles on the back of her neck.
As far as makeup goes, Aleah prefers moderation and sleek looks. She doesnt wear anything thickly. Usually light foundation, and sweeping, thin layers of black eyeliner. Sometimes color is powdered over her light lids, but more often, not. She isnt too into jewelry, although she loves charm bracelets, and will often be seen fidgeting with one. Her ears though are not pierced, and she doesnt like how necklaces feel tight on her throat.
She has a very classy style to her in terms of clothing. She shops at namebrand stores usually, and has clean blouses in trendy layers. Slimming, attractive jeans and cute flats usually complete the look. But her favorite outfit hands down is a simple tanktop with worn jeans and sneakers. A hoodie too, if its that temperature. But usually she looks like she just walked out of a magazine catalog.
Personality: { Aleah is a classic female- she can be simple and easy or complicated as hell, all depending on her situation. She reacts differently kind of sparatically, although its never too extreme like a bi-polar disorder.
Typically, she is the epitome of calm and cool. Shes friendly, and loves socializing since she has always been taught to be honestly polite. She tries to be witty and collected, and keep everyone around her comfortable. She has a very developed sense of humor and can identify with most people's. Aleah loves to laugh, and likes making cute comments whenever possible.
On the reverse side, if she's put under too much stress she can get snippy and irritable. She doesnt like it, and often regrets it very strongly later, but cant help sometimes snapping. Of course, she IS only human. Aleah has rarely ever in her life gotten violent, on that note. She doesnt believe in violence to solve a problem, and if ever faced with a tense situation, she'd rather respond with cold communication than to throw a punch.
The way Aleah deals with stress is excercise or creativity. Aleah's favorite two pasttimes are distance running and painting. Distance running is good, because she likes to focus on keeping her body in perfect shape. She's a wonderful eater, and the exercise releases endorphins that make her calm down. Nothing feels as good to her as pushing herself another mile. The other pasttime, art, is much more meditative. She loves being creative and seeing the world as abstract. If she can portray that on a canvas, she is satisfied. Stress is one of Aleah's biggest emotional problems, she can get overwhelmed very quickly.
Aleah does have a small competitive streak. She loves to win, not for the victory, but for the need to push herself. It isnt a compulsive trait though, and she is able to keep herself from getting out of control. Mostly in sports or academic performance, she likes to find an opponent she can have a healthy competition with.
As far as intelligence goes, Aleah is pretty well off. She had a B-average in high school, and even took a few honors classes here and there. The only problem she has is the fact that sometimes she'd rather socialize than apply herself. She finds people way more entertaining than text books, and between the two, shed pick being a social butterfly over a bookworm any day. Likewise, sometimes she just chooses to avoid her judgement. If she does something stupid, its most likely because she just chose to ignore herself and have fun.
The last little characteristic of Aleah is her sexuality. She's bi-sexual, although in relationships she leans more towards guys. She is, however, very open with her sexuality and is almost nympho-like sometimes. She loves human contact, and loves multiple relationships to achieve such contact. She hasnt had a serious relationship in a few years, and finds them difficult. She'd rather have flings, in all honesty.
But on a day to day basis, Aleah is an ambitious, sweet, friendly kind of girl. A real great and loyal friend, and a witty, cunning enemy.
History: { Aleah Anastasia Bellons was born 21 years ago to Alexander Porter and Marie Bellons. Unfortunately her parents were not married. At least..not to each other. Alexander was having an affair with Marie, to get out of a loveless relationship with his current wife. Upon Aleah's birth though, Alexander stepped away from the relationship with Marie to preserve his first family.
He provided the two with extreme financial support however, and so they were always well off. Unfortunately though, it did damage Aleah's perception of men, and is why it is hard for her to really commit in relationships.
She lived in a spacious studio apartment in New York with her mother and due to her absent father's support, she recieved a very prestigious education in some of the finest facilities. She always did very well in school, and never had a problem with academics. She started painting in middle school, and running in the track program freshman year of high school. She carried those hobbies as her favorite for some time, and still turns to them today.
Aleah's mother Marie was a pretty Italian woman who was very proud. She taught her daughter the finer points of manners and class. It was very odd though, that Marie who was such a proud, feministic individual had let herself be treated like shit by Alexander. That fact always puzzled Aleah, until she realized later that it was blind love. When Aleah was a teenager, her mother started dating again. Aleah realized that the blind love left a bitter void that Marie tried to fill desperately.
Thusly, Aleah was open with physical fufillment even from a young age. This encouraged her bi-sexuality. Her first boyfriend was in 5th grade, Robbie McCoy. Her first girlfriend was in 8th, Lisa Annette. They both gave the same benefits, in her mind.
When Aleah went to high school, her mother had sunk even lower into her emotional void state. The four years of education, Aleah and Marie moved six times, through three different states all because Marie was moving in and out of various boyfriends' homes. It killed ALeah to see her once proud mother in this state. But Marie was too far gone, when Aleah realized the problem.
Aleah never wanted to meet her father. She knew all she needed to know from how she had grown up without him. Aleah has a bit of bitterness in her heart concerning him, and even though a few times he has attempted to gain contact, she refuses.
When finally it was time for graduation. Aleah got a scholarship due to some honors classes she had taken in high school. Coupled with her father's financial assistance, she was able to transition into college fantastically. She's now in her sophomore year, and is studying for media marketing, a real social career. She keeps in touch with Marie vaguely, but after the seventeenth random boyfriend, Aleah has resovled to distance herself for a bit, just for her own safety and sanity.
Luckily her father, for her 21st birthday, has it in the works to rent a house for Aleah while she's going to school. So she's fully anchored in her education and situation now.
Family Details: { +Marie Bellons: Mother, 48, flighty and emotionally damaged. Beautiful, but astranged.
+Alexander Porter: Little known father. Financially well off, has payed for Aleah all her life, but she has no desire to interact with him.
